George Lee
I found CrossFit at Fit Augusta in 2013, and for the first time, I had found something that I could stick with. It was an amazing way to help me improve my fitness and have fun at the same time. Now in my 50s, I’m in the best shape of my life. When the opportunity opened up for me to become the owner of Fit Augusta in 2015, I jumped on it and never looked back. My passion is helping others enjoy the same healthy lifestyles that I have.

Travis Jefferson

Travis brings a wealth of experience and passion to our fitness community. His journey into the world of fitness began in high school and then to Charleston Southern University where he played Division 1 football. Travis’s commitment to physical excellence continued, launching his training career in 2010 dedicated to helping others achieve their fitness goals.
Travis’s expertise extends to a variety of fitness areas, including roles as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach, personal trainer, and trainer at a neuro rehab clinic. Travis discovered CrossFit in 2011, and added that to his extensive capabilities. His coaching style is marked by a genuine enjoyment of helping people at all levels, bringing a supportive and motivating environment within the Fit Augusta community.

Jessica Kirby

Jessica’s journey as a fitness professional started in 2005. She found CrossFit in 2009, and obtained her Level 1 CrossFit certification that same year. As a military spouse, Jessica has had the opportunity to coach people of various nationalities in different countries throughout her career. At Fit Augusta, Jessica loves being part of a supportive fitness community with common goals. Her biggest satisfaction comes from observing how achieving fitness milestones positively influences people’s lives beyond the gym, impacting relationships, work, and personal growth.

Griffin Nelson
Certifications:

Griffin got into fitness in college when she got a job at a gym. She had never played sports so she had to learn from the ground up and fell in love quickly. With the exception of a couple years she’s worked in a gym in some capacity ever since (over 15 years). She tried CrossFit after getting burned out on traditional bodybuilding routines and it was just what she needed. Griffin loves the constant variation, the community, the accountability, and the functionality of CrossFit! She’s particularly passionate about coaching people who might feel uncomfortable in a gym. As someone who was overweight in high school before she found fitness, she gets excited to teach new movements and encourage athletes to both try things outside of their comfort zone and balance fitness with the activities that they enjoy outside the gym. For her those activities include working with all things flowers and plants as a florist and gardener.

Yes, we have safe, well-lit on-site parking available for all members.
Absolutely. Many of our downtown members are brand-new to fitness—we’ll guide you every step of the way.
Definitely! Many of our members are rebuilding strength or working through limitations—our coaches will help you train safely and effectively.
Yes. One-on-one and small group personal training is available, by appointment.
Our Downtown programs include Personal Training, Nutrition Coaching, and CrossFit classes.
We cap classes at 12 people to keep the coaching personalized and the vibe tight-knit.
Yes! Downtown has two showers and is fully equipped for pre- or post-work convenience.
Yes. Our facility is well-lit, monitored by cameras, and built with member safety in mind.
